Thursday, 4-13-00. We woke up rather early, at around 6:30. I took a shower and went downstairs and ate breakfast. I asked Gabino and Aaron how their first night was. I was invited to play N64 the next night, but I didn't want to...
Anyhow, we boarded the bus, and left for Animal Kingdom. At the entrance I took a picture of Evan, Alex, and Armand with a guy who worked there.I tagged along with Aaron, Joe, Jeff, Luk, Lane, Gabino, David, and Brian. We got to Asia (a section in the theme park) and I remember David said something like "Hey look! You guys all get to see your families." I just remember that comment stood out ^_^; We rode on the water ride 3 times. I sat next to Aaron, and I *think* we got the wettest. When we got out we met Caroline, Sheena, and Daniel, and Sheena said something like "Haha you look like you peed on yourself!" The ride was fun though.
This picture was taken on the second (?) time on the water ride. I think it was after a long drop. But these two got soaked (as did Aaron and I...)
This picture was taken on the third time. The view is nice, isn't it... The morning was really sunny, and the ride cooled us off for a little bit. From left to right it's Joe, David, and Gabino. After that we went on the Race to Extinction ride, a semi-fast ride in the dark, with dinosaurs and such. It was pretty fun! There were pictures in the end, and I was smiling or something like that. Should've bought one. The last attraction we saw was the Bug's Life 3D theatre one. It sucked sitting on the very end, the special effects weren't as realistic. We bought lemonade slushies, and checked in at around 1. We found Animal Kingdom to be really boring, with only 3 rides, so we begged our band director to go to the Magic Kingdom. We headed over to the buses and waited in the scorching heat for the bus to the Magic Kingdom to come.
Yeah this picture was taken when Spencer asked my to be in their little "posse" for hanging around the Magic Kingdom: Armand, Ben, Spencer, and myself, at least that's who he mentioned. So I got on the bus, and I seemed to remember this bus ride for some reason. Megan sat across from me. Although I don't remember who sat next to me. We finally got the Magic Kingdom, we rode on the monorail, and took one large group picture. We tried to run so that Jeff would not follow us (yes he seemed to follow me along wherever I went...) but he did. The first attraction we went to (just me, Armand, Evan, and Jeff) was the Timekeeper ride, where there were about 8 screens or so around us, and the whole thing was like a really big movie. It sucked so much though. The next attraction we went to was The Alien Encounter, which was not a movie, but it involved lots of sounds, and screaming, and an alien. It wasn't all that good. From there we went on to Space Mountain for the first time, and I created this little tradition of screaming my lungs out. Space Mountain is my favorite ride! I think we ate or checked in afterward; I remember I hung out with Armand for the rest of the time at Magic Kingdom. We went on Space mountain again, and after that headed over to Big Thunder Mountain. But we got lost, and ended up going to the Haunted Mansion again. It's really similar to the one in Disneyland, but somewhat different. I made out with my ghost! And after that, we finally went to Big Thunder Mountain. The thing that sucked was that five minutes into the line I had a bloody nose. Probably due to dehydration. I had a small piece of tissue in my pocket so I used that to contain the bloody nose. Armand kept telling me, "Pinch here! Apply pressure here!" or something like that, but his advice didn't really work. I tried to be inconspicuous but the blood kept coming out. Some people gave me tissues as we got further into the line, and about 30 minutes had passed. I was panicky... I was thinking stuff like, "What if they don't let me onto the ride?" But we progressed more and more, and the staff there were really friendly. They let me ride, and someone gave me some gauze for my nose, and the worker who sat us gave me a wet towel. So on the ride I had one hand holding the towel onto my nose, one hand in the air, and I was screaming like heck. Bad idea though. I should've had both hands onto the towel, because some of the bloody dripped through onto my overpriced $30 Abercrombie T-shirt -.- Oh well.
After that I rode on Space Mountain a few more times, the Indy Speedway (which sucked), and I vaguely remember checking in. We were going to head over to the Big Thunder Mountain again. Yeah, so I conquered this ride! The wait was only around 20 minutes, as the line wasn't as winding. This time I had both hands up in the air, was yelling louder and livlier, and I didn't have to worry about blood. And I also took a picture of Armand in one of the tamer parts of the ride.
When we got out we saw Evan, Alex, Ben, and Spencer eating giant turkey legs. So I took a picture.I remember one time I rode on Space Mountain Spencer came along as he lost his fastpass, and I found Sam's ticket, so I had an extra one. I gave back Sam's ticket though. I ended the series of rides with Space Mountain-- I think it was either the 5th or 6th time I rode it that day. After that me and Armand ate at the Starlight Cafe, with our meal tickets of course-- it entitled us to a free entree, a drink, and a dessert. I remember eating a really good hamburger with relish and tomatoes, drinking Sprite, and eating a Nestle cookie ice cream sandwich. We enjoyed the fireworks from our seat outside. I somewhat tagged along as we met Amanda and some other girls and we headed over to Splash Mountain, although I didn't ride. I was running to keep pace, and eating ice cream, although I quickly threw that away... feeling somewhat ditched I headed back onto Main Street where I bought an Eeyore and a Pooh-by-the-Sea picture frame for my sisters, and we met as a group, boarded the monorail, and took the bus back to the hotel. For some reason I remember being really... out of it; I don't think I was tired, just upset. Although I had a fun day. We watched the ending to Saving Private Ryan, and then watched the Best of Real Sex. We flipped it to Sportscenter during the gay sex part (twist and shout anyone?) After that I think we went to sleep. |
